Dr. Fotovat, Dr. Sands and their friendly team, love to meet new people. We want you to feel comfortable and to know what to expect the very first time that you come into our office. We recognize that today’s families are busy with multiple activities and schedules, and we want to make sure that your visit at our office is as informative and helpful as possible. By the end of your first visit, these key questions should be answered:
1- Do you need orthodontic treatment?
2- What treatment options are available to you?
3- How long is the treatment going to be?
4- How much will the treatment cost?
When you first arrive at our office, please say “hello” to our receptionists. They will be waiting for you and will be happy to help you begin the new patient orientation and consultation. Please take the time to fill out the new patient form which is available on our website or in the packet sent to you. By completing the form prior to your arrival we can help begin your first visit without delay. Our front office receptionist will ask you for this form so that they can start the new patient consultation process. Our treatment coordinator will greet you and give you a brief tour of our office. She will then bring you to the consultation room where she will introduce you to Dr. Fotovat or Dr. Sands. The doctor will perform a complete clinical examination of your (or your child’s) facial and dental structures. He will then go over the orthodontic problems that he sees, the recommended treatment and different options that are suitable for you. He will also let you know the length of treatment and make recommendations as to the best time to begin. When the doctor completes his examination, he will be able to answer any questions you may have relating to the recommended treatment. The treatment coordinator will review the doctor’s recommendations, answer any other questions you may have, and review the fees and payment options available to you.
